Submissions
We commend you for wanting to put your writing out into the world! It is no feeble task, as we understand the intimacy and heart that a writer pours into their work. Thank you for considering the Serein Lark to be the new home of a slice of your heart.
We publish continuously. Once a submission has been accepted and gone through the process of edits and interviews, it will be posted shortly thereafter as a stand-alone.
We accept submissions year-round, but may close submissions temporarily due to workload or unforeseen events.
Accepted writers will receive an email regarding our decision, followed by a discussion of any required editing. Upon publication, the author will be paid 70NOK (~7 USD) via PayPal.
Without further ado, here are the submission guidelines to which we ask you to adhere. We will not consider submissions that do not meet these requirements.

How to Submit

Prepare your work by ensuring it aligns with our guidelines. Even if we may offer some editing to our accepted writers, major structural or grammatical issues may result in rejection.

Take a break. Have a cup of tea and look out the window at the seasonal shades of the trees and the shapes of the clouds. Take a deep breath.

Send your work via email to sereinlark@gmail.com. The subject should be "Submission", and the body of the text should state your genre, word count and title. A cover letter or bio is not necessary.
