It was on a rainy evening, just past a glowing sunset, that this peculiar magazine-lark was born. Today, the Serein Lark launches from its secret meadow nest, after months of learning to sing, officially free to spread its wings across the quiet, blue sky for good.
Does that sound like a nice ending to you? In fact, it is only the beginning!
It is with great honour to announce the launch of the Serein Lark Review website, which will soon host a whimsical collection of precious, intimate stories. Much like a library, or a quaint book café around the corner, we intend to offer a space for like-minded literary individuals that is slow and quiet, a room where everyday pressures, to-dos, and expectations cannot touch. It is a place to breathe.
Submit your story here to take part in the beginning steps of a dream. If accepted, your words will find their place in our very first issue, which is set to publish in August.
In a matter of days, the Serein Lark will also find its nest on ChillSubs! This will spread the word of our launch and attract kindred writers from all over the world. It is a highly recommended site if you wish to track your submissions - head on over there now!
I can hear your doubts whispering inside your mind...
"Why should I trust the Lark with my story?"
"Why would anyone take the time to create this literary magazine in the first place?"
"Who even is this anyone?"
My name is Eva, and I spot a blog post drifting this way on the cold waters of a mountain stream. It carries a tome on a makeshift float. Its words are said to reveal backstories to literary magazines, and the humans behind them - will you read when it comes?
If you have any questions regarding submissions or wish to offer feedback on our amateur website, you can e-mail the Serein Lark at sereinlark@gmail.com.
